Out of school clubs

 

Sports Club

Gareth Shaw, our sports coach, runs a popular session of team games and sporting activities. This runs term time with extended sessions in the holidays.

From cakes & biscuits to preparing home cooked meals, this club is a real hit with children of all ages, (all ingredients are provided)

 

nature trailsSafety Awareness Club (NEW)

A new club offering practical experience of first aid, fire & road safety with input from training companies and even the fire brigade! For children aged 7 and above.

 

Tennis Club

Linking up with Endon Tennis Club to offer tennis for all abilities with tennis coach, Matt Chandler. This club takes place at the tennis club on Station Road during the spring & summer months. This runs term time with extended sessions in the holidays.

 

Badminton Club (NEW)

With a local coach, this club provides children of all abilities with new racquet skills and plenty of fun and games throughout the session, (racquets provided)

 

Local Parks

At the end of school day after a bite to eat, we sometimes visit the local park, (Endon site only).  This is always an option during the holidays.  We are also lucky to have Fine Feathers, an animal sanctuary, just around the corner for a trip out. 


Football coaching

With our very own football coach, a programme of activities for all budding footballers.  School holidays only.

Regular events to pure fun and enjoyment!  Recent parties have been themed around shorts and shades, Halloween and summer fun.  With face painting, tattoos, party games and sometimes external entertainers..fun for all ages!

Summer 2008

Chatsworth Estate: visit the farmyard, animal handling & milking demonstrations followed by the most amazing adventure playground! Even a trailer ride around the grounds.
Cannock Chase: an Indian brave activity day with shelter building in the woods, tracking and even a friendly ambush!

Conkers, Ashby de la Zouch: another fantastic adventure playground, a train trip around the park and an extensive indoor discovery & play area.
Shugborough Park Farm: a tour around the farmyard, baking cakes in the servant’s quarter and a play in the adventure playground.

 

October 2008

Funsters and the Movies: always a popular choice for an active session followed by a recent release at the movies located at the Pottery Museum.

 

January 2009

Think Tank museum in Birmingham: interactive science museum full to brimming with fun packed activities for all ages.

The Wallace centre & the Pottery Centre: visit the sports centre for badminton, basketball & a bouncy castle followed by Ratatouille at the movies.

 

Summer 2007

Cow illustrationAmerton Farm: visit the farm animals, have fun in the indoor play area and feed the animals in the wildlife sanctuary. 

 

Shugborough Park Farm: a tour around the farmyard, baking cakes in the kitchen and a play in the adventure playground.

 

Consall Nature Reserve: park rangers lead us on a mini-beast hunt and take us pond dipping.  This is an all weather activity so waterproofs & wellies essential.
